Zee Johnson Wrongful Termination Fund

Donation protected
Zee is a beautiful and talented musician with a heart for leading worship. She was employed at a local, predominately white church where she did an amazing job. Zee is also a vocal activist against systemic racism, and after the recent deaths of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and George Floyd, Zee used her passion to call on the church to advocate for the health and safety of Black Americans.

In one such convicting post Zee wrote "Christianity and racism cannot coexist." In another she said: "If your pastor won't march with you or advocate for your safety, he shouldn't be preaching to you or collecting your tithes." Zee was publicly called out by a white church goer for sowing hatred and bitterness, and was told she was way out of line.

Mysteriously (or, you know, not so) she was fired from her church a few days later with a very unsatisfactory explanation.

SO, Zee needs our help! She is the sole breadwinner in her household.  All funds raised will go directly to her for bills, food and living expenses while she gets back on her feet.

Remember, we are still in the middle of COVID19 and the employment landscape can look bleak. Not all churches are meeting so opportunities may be limited. Please give what you can!

Let's support Zee and stand in solidarity with the TRUTH of her statements. Let's show her that her boldness is valued and her voice is needed!
