You can still terminate your pregnancy said the midwife at 16+ Weeks to my wife and I scared of the unknown.
We had been dealt a few devastating hands with a miscarriage, still born and for some reason we knew now we would defeat the odds and get dealt a perfect hand.

THE BEST DECISION WE HAD EVER MADE

On the 16th day of April 2009 and elected to be 2 weeks early- Both my wife and I cried out in joy when our Beautiful son was born.

When our son was born he was rushed off to SCBU at the Homerton Hospital.
About an hour later our paediatrician came to see us to let us know our son was doing fine but because he had cuts/cracks at all the major junctions he would need to stay in SCBU under observation and to prevent infection.
Why do we need to do that we both asked...... Your son has a condition we believe to be Ichythosis.
So nearly 7 years on we are still looking for the answer to how best to manage Zeeshan's skin which is continuously scaling and itchy. As a direct result of the tight dry skin zeeshan has, it has resulted in perforation of his left cornea and has had 3 failed grafts in the left eye and also cataract surgery to correct. Over the years he has had his eyelid stitched shut in a bid to provide protect to the surface of the cornea from exposure.
Alas we have been blessed with a great consultant, surgeon and friend by the name of Mr S Hamada who has worked tirelessly performing miracles to Zeeshan's eyes we thought couldn't happen.

So back to what we are raising funds for....
We are trying to raise funds to get Zeeshan a microsilk bath which has been tested and proven to better the quality of skin and to help users live a more comfortable life. Ichythosis is a condition where the skin is continuously growing, shedding and develops deep cracks and this is visible with large scales across the entire body scalp and face.

Hi, My Name is Zeeshan I am 6 years old and people like to call me Super-Zee. I was born with Super fast growing skin which sometimes is uncomfortable and makes me itch. In the summer i can't cool myself down because i dont have any sweat glands and in the winter i cant shed my skin quick enough before the new layer starts to grow. My Mummy and Daddy are raising money to get me a Bath which is amazing.
