Alyssa’s Journey
Donation protected
Alyssa had a stroke on Sunday, 11/4. The left carotid artery had dissected and the doctor tried to do surgery to place a stent, but he found a 6” blood clot that he couldn’t remove. According to the doctors, Alyssa’s rheumatoid arthritis can make blood vessels weaker, and when she sneezed or coughed last week that’s what caused the dissection. She’s improving every day, but she will have to have extensive therapy. She can’t communicate more than “yes”, “no”, and recently “I love you” with her left hand. With therapy we’re hoping to get her speech back. We’re not sure how long she will have to stay in therapy, nor how much it will cost. We will do everything we can to get her the best care. This has been set up to help cover medical expenses and Alyssa’s bills, as we’re not sure how long she will be out of work. Thank you for all the love and support! ❤️
