Zelia’s road to recovery
Donation protected
The Wiltsey family is in dire need for support from their community. Nikki and Zeke Wiltsey are youth pastors for their community with 4 little girls from the ages 8 - 1yrs old. Zeke is the soul provider for his household and recently had to take leave from work for back surgery and missed 5 weeks. Shortly after their 5 year old daughter, Zelia was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Her tumor was located on the pituitary glad. She and her parents had a long road to recovery including a 2 and a half week hospital stay. During this 2 and a half week hospital stay family took turns watching the other 3 siblings. Following surgery the doctors stated they were able to get 95% of the tumor. Her long road to recovery included lots of sedation, many tubes and wires, diabetes insipidus, and Cerebral Salt Waste Syndrome. Due to the location of her tumor, She will possibly need to be on hormones the rest of her life. Her parents will have to watch for seizures, and follow up MRI’s every 6 months to a year to make sure she won’t need radiation in her future. Only after 6 days of being out of the hospital sweet Zelia returned with heart tachycardia. The doctors are unsure what could Be causing this. Please keep this sweet family in your prayers. This family pours into their community and into the lives of young people. They give their lives selflessly to their community. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This family needs their village and community for support and love!
