Zeus the Survivor: Help Him Win One More Fight

Donation protected
Zeus is a 4-year-old Pyrenees mix, and he’s not just a dog—he’s family. He’s been my protector, my emotional support, and my best friend. His calm, loving spirit has been a constant source of strength in my life. And now, he needs us.

Zeus has already been through more than most dogs ever should. Not long ago, he was fighting for his life against a mysterious brain infection. The vets didn’t know if he would make it. For months, he endured rounds of antibiotics and steroids, vet visits, and long, uncertain nights. But Zeus is a fighter—he pulled through. He survived against all odds, and he came back to us with the same quiet strength he’s always had.

Now, Zeus is facing another life-threatening emergency: bloat, a twisted stomach that can kill within hours. The only way to save him is through emergency surgery, and time is not on our side.

What makes Zeus so special isn’t just what he’s survived—it’s who he is. He’s quiet and strong, fiercely loyal, gentle, brave, and incredibly smart. He has a heart as big as his body. Whether it’s standing watch over the farm, helping our newborn animals find their feet, or just silently leaning into us when we’re having a hard day—he’s always there.

Even though he’s male, Zeus perfectly embodies the nurturing, mothering instincts that Great Pyrenees are known for. He doesn’t bark unless he needs to, but he never misses a threat. He’s protective without being aggressive, and loving without ever needing to ask for attention. He’s part of the heartbeat of this home—of our family.

The cost of this surgery is more than I can manage alone, but I can’t let him down—not after everything he’s given to us. Zeus is only 4 years old. He deserves to grow old here, doing what he loves, surrounded by the people and animals who adore him.

If you can help—through a donation or just by sharing—you could help save Zeus’s life. Every single bit means the world to us.

He is being treated at Blue Ridge Pet Clinic, if you'd like to make a donation right to the vet that would be perfect! We would prefer the donations go right to the vet, but we can make it work through gofund me too!
If calling the vet to make the donation, it's under Zeus Dodge or Arlyn and Kim dodge.

Thank you for reading, for caring, and for standing with Zeus.
