Animal Transport Vehicle

Alas, all good things must come to an end! 300,000 miles and $4,000 in repairs later, the Pawsitive Connections transport vehicle is on its last legs. This means the hunt for a new car or van is officially underway, and we need your help!

Who are we? Pawsitive Connections is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit committed to rescuing displaced dogs in California’s Central Valley. We take in dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds, and backgrounds from overcrowded shelters in our area, as well as owner surrender cases. After arriving at PC’s Kingsburg facility, the pups are seen by a veterinarian to be spayed or neutered and receive all of their vaccines, as well as any other necessary treatments. During their time with us, they are behaviorally evaluated prior to attending weekly Saturday adoption events in the San Francisco Bay Area.

We like to think we’ve got a pretty good system down, but this all becomes nearly impossible without access to a reliable vehicle for our dogs. Saturday adoption events are the best shot our dogs have at placement into a loving forever home, but lately our staff have been unable to make the 300 mile round trip drive resulting in much longer wait times for our canine residents looking to find that home. Our current rescue vehicle is also used for transportation to and from vet appointments, to pick up donations and supplies for the rescue, and to transport dogs and puppies from shelters and previous homes to our Kingsburg facility.

This is where you come in: please help us get back on the road! PC has already saved approximately $5000 towards this goal. Donations raised through this fundraiser will go towards purchasing a functional vehicle or other vehicle expenses for Pawsitive Connections, and are tax deductible. Any amount is appreciated, and we are so thankful for our donors, many of whom have adopted a Pawsitive pup themselves.
