House fire

we were woken up at 6am by my 78 year old mother that lives in the apartment next to ours screaming “fire fire”. 911 was called
We all got out and I ran to get a fire extinguishers but it was too late.
I ran back to our unit that wasn’t on fire yet and went in to try to save some of my daughters stuff. I just pull out whole drawers from her dresser and threw them outside trying to save some clothes and diapers. Next thing I knew the smoked rolled in from the apartment next door. It was black and burned my lungs. I had to drop to the floor and crawl out.
I’m very grateful no one was hurt.
Now that the smoke has settled Now what? Like a deer in the headlights we are standing outside.
Everything gone or smoke damaged. We have house insurance so we thought we were good. But come to find out our coverage is only for the house itself. No coverage for personal belongings. No coverage for loss of use. Meaning no coverage for an emergency place to stay. We are in a hotel at $90 per night right now. Red Cross has helped for a couple days worth. My moms place burned so we can’t stay with her. Other relatives are at risk from the virus (elderly with conditions) or live too far away. We are left with no where to go and with the virus people are a little worried about letting people into there homes.
Truthfully if i caused this his I wouldn’t ask for help. But we could use some help.
It dawned on me this morning with all the going to the store, hotels, homedepot, etc is putting us at even more of a risk with the virus.
I didn’t think that this wouldnt bother my daughter she’s almost 3 but this morning she started crying. “I want to go home”
I have no idea what to do. I’m worried about the virus. Im worried about running out of money. I’m worried about will my house be livable by next winter.
Going try the Salvation Army this morning as well.
What funds raised will go towards housing, food, and clothing.
If any funds are left over it will will go towards the house. Nothing inside was covered. Frig, stoves couches, towels curtains, furniture, in my unit and my mothers unit are all gone.
Ill tell you this is an experience that you are not prepared for. I’m very grateful no one was hurt.
To ask for help is hard but my family, and my mom need help.
Id like to say thank you in advance to any one that donates. Thank you.
