Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated honors Brother Alvin Barrington with prestigous Elder Watson Diggs Award.
The Elder Watson Diggs Award recognizes the outstanding contributions of members to the fraternity, and is the second highest award available to a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
Brother Alvin "AB" Barrington was initiated into the Florida State University Chapter, the Award Winning Theta Eta of Kappa Alpha Psi in 1976. During his 39 years in the fraternity, he has served in numerous leadership capacities.
Not only has Brother Barrington remained active in the Tallahassee Alumni, New Orleans Alumni, and Grand Chapter, Brother Barrington has made it his priority to extend his support and wisdom to his undergraduate chapter; serving as collegiate advisor for 20 years. Under his advisement, Theta Eta has won undergraduate chapter of the year for a record sweeping Seven times.
Brother Barrington is well respected and held in high esteem throughout the fraternity. His proven dedication and service to the Brotherhood has garnered him many accolades including: Distinguished Service Medallion, Grand Polemarch's Certificate of Appreciation, and Chapter Advisor of the Year for Southern Province, Theta Eta, and Founders' Chapter.
