The Fievets Healing Journey

Donation protected
On December 6, 2024, Zack suffered a life-altering work accident, leaving him intubated in the ICU and requiring multiple surgeries. As you may know from other Facebook posts he has extensive injuries and a long road to recovery. As he continues trying to heal from his incident, his wife, Erika, has also been trying to navigate the unimaginable stress, sadness, and the pregnancy of their baby boy.

Unfortunately, complications throughout her pregnancy caused her to go into premature labor, and their beautiful 23 week old baby boy was born on December 16, 2024. While Zack has been in the hospital trying to heal and get stronger, Erika juggles monitoring her husband’s condition and the extremely early arrival of their baby who will be in the NICU. I think it’s safe to say, the challenges have become overwhelming for this young family.

As you can imagine, Zack is still in the hospital and bed ridden due to the injuries sustained, so he was not able to be there for the birth of his first son, and is very motivated and eager to meet him. In addition, once he is finally discharged he will not be able to walk for several weeks and will require extensive rehab.

If you know Zack and Erika, you know that they are the first to offer help and the last to ask for it. Both of them would give you the shirt off of their back if you needed it, and would never stop to ask for anything in return. For that reason, I know that they would not ask for help even though they deserve it tenfold. As Erika’s sister, and against their stubborn wishes, I am taking it upon myself to try and help relieve the financial burden by creating this fundraiser.

This beautiful growing family needs our help. Between mounting medical bills, missing work to care for themselves and their baby, the costs of premature delivery and months of NICU care, and the day-to-day expenses of navigating these crises’, the financial burden is immense.

Every donation will go directly to supporting the Fievets recovery, and the long term hospital care of their newborn. Your generosity will help this family focus on healing and holding on to hope during this incredibly difficult time.

Thank you for your kindness, support, and prayers for Erika, Zack, and their baby.
