Croatian Earthquake Relief

Please help the Croatians in the smaller villages of Glina, Sisak, and Petrinja recover from the multiple devastating earthquakes and aftershocks that started on December 28th.  I am trying to collect donations and I will personally make sure these funds go directly to several families that have lost everything.

My name is Damira M. Bačić and I live in Manhattan Beach, CA.  I was born in a small village in Croatia; I still have a home there and visit yearly.  The families we will be donating to are family friends and I will do a bank transfer to get the funds to them.  

The Vignjevic family consists of a single dad with a 5 year old daughter.  He is a cancer survivor and is unable to work. They lost the home he inherited from his great grandfather - their whole house was demolished and everything they owned is under the rubble.  The funds will be spent for everyday incidentals like food, clothing, and medicine.

Currently I am aiming for $2,000, but hoping donations will go much higher.  I will be updating later on the other families we are donating to.  Thank you for considering helping these families during the harsh winter months.
