An on-going legal battle as shown on CTV Toronto!
We created this GoFundMe to help our family members in their legal fight against their Directors and promoting positive changes to Condominium Governance for Homeowners. Natasha and Vincent have been in a lengthy and costly legal battle with their Corporation/Directors. Their legal and social fight has also garnered social media attention and CTV News attention.
They have not only exposed a lot about their Condominium Directors but also the failures in the Condominium Government System.
Natasha and Vincent’s lengthy legal battle with their Directors/Corporation has opened our eyes, and attracted social media attention and CTV News, to not only what their Condo Directors are accused of committing, but also that the Condo Authority Tribunal (CAT) & the Government is not equipped to deal with issues between Directors and Homeowners. The only resource to homeowners is legal court. This leaves many homeowners to not pursue or resolve their issues.
Natasha and Vince are working towards more accountability for Directors and, therefore, more protecting Condominium Reserve Budgets and Maintenance Fees.
Natasha and Vincent’s fight is bringing national awareness and pressures to the Government (CAO and CAT) to expand their Tribunal to deal with homeowner complaints to take the burden off homeowners. This will benefit every single condo homeowner in Ontario. To date, Natasha and Vince has spent $90,000 on their legal case, the Directors/Corporation has spent over $200,000. All proceeds will go towards their legal costs, helping all Condominium homeowners.
Recently, after their story on CTV, MPP's agreed to speak about their issue in the Legislature when it resumes in September!
