Hi everyone,
I am so blessed to share with you all that I have been accepted to an Internship program in Geneva, Switzerland this upcoming September as a part of my Health Sciences degree. I will be starting the fourth of my five years in the Masters of Public Health (MPH) concentrating in Global Health.
I have a strong passion for Public Health. By interning in Geneva, I'll be able to understand the health care system in a global setting as opposed to just within the United States. With health care disparities rising in the most disadvantaged areas of the United States, I hope to learn at the forefront of Public Health in Geneva so I may implement new initiatives and innovative approaches to healthcare. My belief is that everyone deserves access to healthcare and that this is a basic human right . Unfortunately, this is not the case and I am jumping at the opportunity to better understand these inequities so I may come back to advocate for those who cannot help themselves.
This is an opportunity that I did not envision being able to take advantage of and I am truly blessed to have been accepted to this program. In this program I will be able to work with the most renowned non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in the world. This internship will allow me to explore my options within public health and offer me networking opportunities that I would not have here in the US.
As I am preparing to achieve my goals, I am seeking donations from my friends and family to help me in my journey. I'll be away for five months, the longest I've been away from home. There are many costs such as my flight, food, and living expenses as Geneva is an extremely pricey city. Any donation would be very helpful for my cause. Thank you for your sincerity and consideration, I genuinely appreciate it. I am blessed to have such a supportive network of friends, family, and mentors.
