On September 2, at 3:45 am, my friend woke up to her husband having difficulty breathing. When she tried to wake him up, he couldn’t get up so she called 911. When paramedics arrived they immediately took him and hooked him up to life support. At the hospital a CT scan revealed a large brain bleed and doctors said there was nothing they could do to fix it. The only option was to keep him on life support or remove it and let nature take its course.

At 8:30 am they decided to remove him from life support and let him go because it is not what George would have wanted, to be on life support.

This is a devastating loss not only for my friend but her children and grand children as well. The community has also lost a compassionate and caring soul who looked out for the people that he worked with as a homeless outreach worker. He always work so hard to help people navigate the system so that they could receive the services to help them improve their situation.
