Zim Food Aid - SA

A famous man once said, 'Do what you can, with what you have, where you are'.   We are a group of mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters who come from Zimbabwe and live in South Africa - and we are working to live up to these wise words.  We've come together to provide food , blankets and  sanitary packs to vulnerable Zimbabweans in South Africa who have lost their jobs, homes and all ability to feed themselves and their families, as a result of COVID-19.   Parts of our community are now completely devastated, guys. 


Here are the 4 main ways that you can support this cause:
1/Sponsor a pack. We have 4 different packs that you can sponsor: Food (enough for a family of 4 for 2 weeks), Sanitary ( soap, toothpaste, washing powder, sanitary towels etc.) Educational Packs (a carefully curated pack aimed at children from grade R to grade 3 (the pack contains , work book, porridge, crayons and more), Blankets, winter is upon us and we are also keen to provide blankets 
 
 2/ Identify communities in need – we have a list of communities that we have earmarked in Johannesburg and Pretoria that we would like to help. We need community partners who can work with us to gather names of those in need and help coordinate distribution within those communities
 
3/ Provide logistical support. Everything from assembling the food and sanitary packs to distribution

4/ Spread the word. The goal is to feed at least 500 packs a month for the next 6 months by which time we hope the situation would have stabilised
