Zimbabwe Volunteer fundraiser

Hi, my name is Caitlin I’m 17 years old and I’m fundraising for a life changing volunteer trip to Zimbabwe. I live in residential care and really struggle with my emotional wellbeing. It’s difficult for me to think about the future and look forward to things, I have always been passionate about animals and animals care and have been an active horse rider for the last 3 years. I feel with support Zimbabwe is something that would be absolutely life changing and for me to even think about and want to go is a huge thing. Zimbabwe would take me away from everything and everyone that’s caused me pain, and grow my confidence in myself, develop skills for life, maybe change my outlook on life. and just all round give me the boost I need….

About the trip: the trip is about volunteering on a African game reserve for a month. Some of the activities we will be doing are caring for the 4 orphaned African elephants, conservation work, rehabilitation, removing snares, boundary patrols, assisting with all 40 horses care including vet care, farriery, health checks, training, grooming and riding.
