God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change…. On Feb. 4, 2023, God suddenly called our Daughter, Mother, Cousin, Aunt and Friend home to be with Him. Zinovia Jenkins, known as Zee to most, was an only child that had two beautiful daughters Anaje and Zindayah. In her mid-twenties, she was diagnosed with a seizure disorder that she had to learn to live with. Even with having this disorder, she strived to make the best life for herself and her daughters. She leaves behind a large family, many friends and acquaintances who will miss her dearly.
Zee was full of life and personality; she still had many things to do and experience in life. She had a smile that could warm anyone’s heart. She had these amazing ears that she thought were too big, but they were perfect on her. They sort of became her signature at a young age. She listened anytime anyone needed to talk. She loved music, movies, tv shows and gaming. She was a gamer at heart and could spend hours on her PlayStation. She would often play live where she met people from all over and formed meaningful friendships. During conversations, even serious ones, she would often make a funny comment or crack a joke just to make you laugh. She loved to laugh! Not just laugh, but that laughing until you’re crying, stomach and cheeks hurting kind of laugh.
She had a big heart and it shined through in everything she did, including her work. She loved kids! For many years she worked with kids in the Visalia Unified School District and assisted teachers in their classrooms. She then transitioned into working with children with behavioral needs and she thrived in that environment. She loved the difference she was making in her kids' lives. Before she passed, she started making her own all-natural hair and beard products. You could often find her at a pop-up event with her daughters selling the products that she was so proud of making.
Zee worked hard to give her daughters everything their hearts desired. She was a single mother raising two strong beautiful daughters. In recent years she would plan an annual trip for them to spend bonding time together. They went to Disneyland, Legoland, Universal Studios, Hearst Castle, and many other places. She loved their mother-daughter time! Being a mother was her proudest accomplishment! She truly was a light in this world. She shined bright and brought joy to many people in her world. She will be missed dearly! However, she is now rejoined with her father who left us five years ago.
Due to her sudden passing, Zee didn’t have time to get all the affairs in order. As a family, we are asking for your financial assistance to help with her burial expenses and to provide some financial support for her daughters in her absence. Thank you for taking the time to read about our loved one and any donation you make will be much appreciated. May you all be blessed.
