ZION CLARK'S RACE FOR A WHEELCHAIR

“NO EXCUSES”!  After a successful wrestling season with Kent State Tuscarawas, Zion is training to compete in several wheelchair track races in the 2020 Toyko Paralympics for team USA!  He is training with a very old, outdated chair and we are raising $5,000 to get him a new, competition ready chair!
ZION CLARK is an exceptional young man.  He is an outstanding collegiate wrestler, a fierce competitor on the track, and an accomplished musician.  As an ambassador for GV Art + Design’s new apparel line “From Within”, Zion is spreading his message…”Find A Way, Not an Excuse”!

ZION’S amazing story is being told in the documentary ZION.  The film, directed by Floyd Russ, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival this year.  It is being shown at film festivals all over the country, including the Cleveland International Film Festival at Tower City on April 6th at 5:25 PM, April 7th at 3:30 PM and April 10th at 9:15 PM.

What makes Zion’s story so incredible is that he was born with no legs, grew up in foster care, and, after working hard and excelling on the mat in both grade school and high school, he has made his way onto the wrestling team at Kent State Tuscarawas this past year.  BUT WAIT….THERE’S MORE!

Zion has been working tirelessly with the USA Paralympic Team to qualify to compete in the 100, 200 and 400 meter wheelchair racing events in the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics.  His only disadvantage is his antiquated wheelchair!  With a new, state of the art wheelchair, Zion will be unstoppable.
