Hello my name is Aviana and I’ve created this GoFundMe page to help lessen the financial pressures that will come as my cousin Camellia and her husband Shelby fight save their beautiful 3 year old daughter Ziyah’s life. As she was just diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma or DIPG on April 23rd 2021.
Now let me tell you about this beautiful little girl!
Ziyah’s favorite thing to do is to dance! She’s always been one to shake her groove thang anytime the music is playing and when she isn’t doing that she loves to color! She loves fruit, bright colors and anything that just makes her heart happy. But most of all, she love love LOVES her brothers Bentley and Royal and sister Dallas!
Ziyah is the sweetest most kind child you will meet and she is always guaranteed to plant a big seed of joy and love in everyone’s hearts. No one ever forgets that crazy Ziyah personality!
She’s a Queen and a Fighter, with the Biggest Strongest Heart in the World!
On 4/22/2021 Ziyah wasn’t feel well so a trip to the urgent care was made, there they advised she had a virus - to give her fluids and let her rest. However upon returning home she only got worse. So much so that 911 had to be call to take her to the hospital. Test after test had been ran once getting to the hospital and then they found something...A mass at the base of her brain, right where it meets the spine. She was admitted so doctors could spring into action to see what it was and how it could be treated.
4/23/2021 An MRI was ordered and performed on little Ziyah. Shortly after Camellia and Shelby got someone the worst news any parent can get. Ziyah was diagnosed with DIPG an aggressive child brain cancer. Now that doctors had a better idea of what it was more specific action could be taken.
4/24/2021 Ziyah remains in the hospital to receive care to help lessen the swelling on her brain and get her back up and moving and eating solids. They suspect she will be there for a few weeks at minimum and in the meantime more research, second opinions can be looked into.
Camellia and Shelby have not left her side and don’t plan too. They are finding a grove to balance being with Ziyah as much as possible while spending time with her siblings and getting a quick shower while trying to catch their breath. This Mommy and Daddy are ready to fight fight fight for their baby girl!
My hope is to raise enough funds to help with their everyday expenses, rent, medical bills/care, possible travel and anything else that may come up out of the blue. They have a long road ahead of them and this would be a huge relief. I will post updates and photos as often as they come. We all deeply appreciate each and everyone of you and any help you may be able to give.
