Helping One of Our Own!

Hi Everyone,

On Thursday June 20th one of our paramedics (Kristina Fonseca) home was involved in a condominium fire. Kristina was away on vacation and received a phone call from police saying her unit and 3 others had sustained serious damage. As a result of the fire, Kristina and her common-law partner (Andres) have been told it will take approx. 6 months to rebuild. This has left Kristina, Andres and their dog (Ivy) having to look for a new place and balance getting back on their feet and meeting their work obligations.

Kristina has been with Peel Regional Paramedic Services since 2019 and works as a full-time Primary Care Paramedic. We are reaching out to family, friends and peers, looking for support where possible to help with the unexpected costs Kristina and her family have endured during this difficult time.

The money raised in this fundraiser will be given to Kristina and her family to cover some of the incidental costs they have incurred.
