Brittany's Recovery

As many of you know my sister Brittany has the P-16 cancer gene which predisposes her to a rare form of melanoma that moves into tissue and lymph nodes at an accelerated pace. For the past decade, she regularly has had scans and appointments to stay ahead of the cancer. Over the years she has had many surgeries, treatment, and outpatient procedures when biopsies came back positive. Most recently she had a biopsy done on her eyelid and it came back as a crossbreed of cancers. The 6-hour surgery to remove the cancer will be followed by a 7-hour reconstruction of her eyelid which requires 3-6 weeks of recovery. We are so thankful that it is not the aggressive melanoma she usually battles and that the surgeons will be able to get clear margins but because of the long recovery period she will not be able to work. Although Brittany has good insurance to cover most of the medical expenses she is a nurse and has limited PTO. This will cause major financial strain for her family which needs both parent's incomes. It would be such a blessing to them if we could pull together some funds to help them carry this financial burden so they can focus on Britts recovery. Thank you in advance for all your support.
