Help Mia get to the World Tap Championships!

Hello Family and Friends!

As many of you know, I’ve been dancing with Nancy Chippendale’s Dance Studios for the past 13 years. This year, I’ve been given the opportunity to once again represent the United States and compete in the World Tap Championships in Riesa, Germany. The director of our studio, Nancy Chippendale , created the American Tap Company to represent the United States in international competition. I had the privilege of being a part of Team USA in 2019 and compete in the Junior division where our formation took fifth place in the world. This past spring, I auditioned and was selected to be on the USA Adult Formation team. I will be traveling to Riesa, Germany along with teammates from around the United States from September 22nd to the 30th.

The World Tap Championships is run by the International Dance Organization (IDO), an organization consisting of 90 member nations representing more than 500,000 dancers from six continents. Since 2002, Nancy Chippendale and the American team have won numerous individual and team world championships.

I have been training for the past four years to be ready for this opportunity. I am writing to ask if you would be willing to play a part in helping me accomplish the goal of bringing home the gold medal for the United States. As you can imagine, there is a financial cost involved in traveling to Europe to compete in the “Olympics of Dance.”

It is my goal to raise $3,500 by September 1st to help with the cost of my portion of the trip. The $3,500 includes:

Flight - $1,500

Hotel and Transportation - $900

Team USA Uniform and Equipment - $275

Costumes - $250

Choreography Fees - $150

Master Class Tuition Fees - $100

United States Dance-Sport Competition Federation Entry Fee - $90

IDO Entry Fee - $40

Travel Money - $200
