Yoshi's Leg Surgery
Donation protected
YOSHI, OUR SWEET 'SEAL KITTY', NEEDS YOUR HELP!
Of course she's not really part seal, but due to a birth defect which caused her ankles to be dislocated, she's forced to walk like one. Yoshi is one of a litter of kittens from a feral mother cat. They were found in a rural area with every predator imaginable; coyotes, owls, eagles, crows, raccoons, and even a passing cougar. How on earth any of them were all able to survive out there is amazing, but that Yoshi didn't quickly become somebody's dinner is nothing short of a miracle! All her siblings were lucky enough to be adopted, but Yoshi must wait till surgery is done on her legs before she can go to her forever home. She's currently in a loving foster home until she is old enough for the surgery.
At most shelters, Yoshi would have been euthanized on intake. Of course we understand the reasons for that, it's just basic math. We all have many animals to care for with loads more always waiting to come in. The more that is put towards one, the less there is for the others. Those are the cold hard facts, but as a no kill shelter, we must consider more than the bottom line. Yoshi needs our help, and we must find a way! Just look at that sweet face, could anyone with half a heart pull the plug on her? Here's where YOU come in. The estimate for her surgery is about $3,000. A lot of money for a small rescue, but certainly not an insurmountable goal. That's just $30.00 each from 100 people. A small sacrifice from enough people will give Yoshi the happy life she so richly deserves. With your help, we can do this!
