John Kiernan's barefoot for cancer
Donation protected
My name is John Kiernan (AKA, "OJ, The Juice, John Dude, Dude Lightning" or whatever other name you would like to call me)! This year I will be attempting to raise $10,000 for cancer research. All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society to assist in the cure for this terrible disease. This year for my 50th birthday on May 16th, I will be going barefoot for cancer. Barefoot waterskiing that is.
At 7 years old, water skiing soon became a favorite sport of mine when my father first taught me to ski on Lake Hopatcong , NJ. After becoming very familiar with slalom waterskiing, the ability to go barefoot was always a goal of mine. After many years of crash and burn attempts with my crazy bud Scottbob, it was not until my 2nd honeymoon in Jamica that I was able to master 3 styles of barefoot waterskiing. Boom bar, short line and the ever treacherous long line. (Left shoulder still a problem)!
So what better way to celebrate my 50th birthday some 25 years later than to raise money for cancer. I will once again be attempting all 3 methods of barefoot waterskiing in May 2016.
Having known many friends and family including my own father who passed from cancer has inspired me to raise money to help fight this disease. There is no minimum donation, but for sure your one time contribution will assist in reaching our goal.
For your enjoyment, a full video will be posted highlighting the event. I sincerely thank you for your contribution and I am looking forward to sharing my experience with all of you!!
