Saving Shannon
Donation protected
My friend, Shannon, is a courageous woman who has been struggling with depression for more than two decades. She has tried many different treatments based on what insurance allows, but none of them have worked for her. She has felt hopeless, isolated and suicidal. Coming from someone who struggles with depression as well, it is not something she can just snap out of and be healed. This is a very hard mental health battle, and she is tired of fighting. Shannon and her husband Jason, realize that she needs more intensive and specialized care than what a regular therapist or psychiatrist can give. They have found a highly recommended Intensive Outpatient Facility that’s just 30 minutes from them where she would receive care for a minimum of 6 months, Monday-Friday 8a- 4p. However, their insurance company has refused to pay for this life-saving Facility that could finally give her hope. As you can imagine, it will be very expensive without insurance. We are looking at $100 a day for at least 6 months, which is quite the expense. As a friend of hers, I am asking for your generosity and compassion to help her get the treatment that could finally change her life. Please consider donating and sharing her story with others who might be able to support her. Mental Health does not get enough adequate recognition in this country, and access to the right care is a battle in and of itself. Let’s help Shannon know she doesn’t have to fight this battle alone. Let’s do this together, alongside her! Let’s save Shannon from one of the leading causes of death in this country, and save her children from losing their mother to depression.
