The Gengo family needs your help!

A year ago, Chance got into a car accident and got a CT scan on his neck and head. When results came back from the scan, they noticed that Chance had a pea size cyst on his brain. The cyst was located in the part of the brain where the spinal fluid releases through the body. On Wednesday, July 13, 2022, Chance was working in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee when he started to get a really bad headache. He called his wife Taylor, who was in North Carolina at the time, to tell her that he couldn’t make it back home! Taylor rushed to Pigeon Forge and was told by his doctor to rush him to UT (The University of Tennessee Medical Center). After running some tests, Chance was admitted into ICU/MCC (Medical Critical Care) because the cyst he had on his brain grew to now a lima bean size. The cyst was blocking the fluid from releasing which created a major blocking and swelling which caused him to have these terrible side effects. The amazing neurosurgeons did a procedure where they put in a drainage tube into his brain to release the pressure from inside his head which then later turned into full force brain surgery. After the amazing work that all of UT’s staff has provided, Chance is currently in recovery where he is having some complications. He isn’t 100% able to operate his left arm / hand. Of course with Chance’s line of work, it is necessary to have everything working properly. Chance is the sole provider in his little family and he will be out of work for the forceable future. On top of all of the chaos, Chance and Taylor have a beautiful 18 month old son who is just waiting to see his daddy. We are asking for anything at this point to help with any medical bills, appointments, rehabilitation clinic (for several weeks), personal monthly overhead, etc. that will alleviate any extra stresses that may occur. Here is our favorite Bible verse that fits perfectly for Chance’s situation. Jeremiah 17:14 “Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise.”
