Help the Haverlands!

On September 8th, Joe Haverland experienced a brain bleed while watching his son Wilson's football game. Joe was immediately airlifted to Iowa City. Joe was doing pretty well and on a path to coming home. Two Fridays later, while still in Iowa City, he experienced a severe stroke during an MRI.

Joe has encountered an incredible amount of therapy and care in Iowa City. He is now located at "On with Life" in Ankeny, Iowa, while he continues to heal. Joe is expected to be at "On with Life" for the next several months. He will require 24-hour care from now on.

Dayna, Joe's wife, is working hard to keep the family together while working full time, raising their son Wilson, and traveling to see Joe in Ankeny every chance she can to support him in this journey.

The medical and travel expenses continue to pile up during this time, as well as the hardship of Joe's inability to work and contribute to the family finances.
