Help Tia Make It Through Semester

Hello! My name is Tia Shaw, I am a second semester Junior (soon-to-be Senior) at The Alabama A&M University located on Normal’s Hill here in Alabama. I am currently an off campus student trying to balance being a full time student and making sure bills are being paid for. Usually I would have the help of school financial aid around this time but unfortunately my University is behind dispersing funds to all students here’s which has now made things tough beyond measures. Have been short rent wise, struggling with affording for car issues, and have been short on food as of lately. Though the highs have been high, I am currently in a low position in which is starting to affect my focus on getting my degree, putting me in a position to work even during class hours. Those who know me know I never like to ask for anything so this is a reach for me.

But truthfully anything could help! I just want to be able to lift a weight off of me for a small moment that way I can bring my focus back onto my academics and future. It’s all been stressful lately and the help will go a long way.
