Zoë Strong

Donation protected
My friend (and truly one of the most beautiful souls that I know) has recently discovered that her fifteen year old daughter, Zoë, a freshman at Dearborn High, has Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Lauren has been with her daughter every day at the hospital since the discovery of Zoë's diagnosis on April 15th.   Zoë still has a long journey in front of her. Doctors are estimating Zoë will need four cycles of chemo, each cycle being eight days long for twelve hours each day with three different types of chemo being administered. Lauren and Zoë were able to come home for just a few days and have now retuned for another long hospital stay. Lauren is a single mother not just to Zoë, but also to her five year old daughter Paisley who is missing her sister and mommy greatly at this time. Zoë's dad Ryan works full time to support his child and although Zoë is able to have her health insurance covered this way, not all of her expenses will be covered. This, coupled with the fact that it is simply not possible for Lauren to work at this time and care for her two daughters who both need her so greatly, is where the "it takes a village" comes in. My wish, and the wish of SO many that know and love Lauren, Ryan, Zoë and Paisley, is to make it so Lauren can spend this time caring for, and being present for her children, and to ease the financial burden which Lauren and Ryan will be forced to carry without the help of our community. Every prayer, every donation, every word of encouragement for Zoë as she bravely fights this battle will leave this family grateful beyond measure.
