Hi
my name is Zoe and I have found myself in a terrible situation.
Last May I had what should have been straightforward laparoscopic surgery for a fixed uterus and adhesions as a result of endometriosis. Unfortunately, something went horribly wrong and despite following every protocol and after almost a year, I am now so unwell that I feel I am dying.... I am in constant crippling pain, the original issue was never addressed leaving me unable to sleep, sit down, travel in the car or even stand still for any length of time. I have a number of secondary conditions that have escalated since the surgery, including stomach pain, sickness, nausea, bloating and a terrible gastro issue causing my mouth to turn black inside and I’m not able to wear anything that is not roomy, soft and baggy! It is uncomfortable to eat, my mouth burns and my body has stopped taking in the vitamins and nutrients it needs from my food, so to add insult to injury I now have malnutrition.
We have no idea how much it's going to cost to get me back on my feet and well again. Neil is trying to re-mortgage the house as we speak but in the meantime I just can't wait any longer for a private appointment. I am too frightened.
I never thought I would be in this situation and I cannot believe it is possible in our country.
All I know is I do need some serious surgery and I am desperate to get better! We have no idea how much it's going to cost if I need robotic surgery it is scary!
I am beginning to think that they have behaved so badly because they know the crippling amount of money it’s going to cost to fix it.
Anything you can give to get me started would be so gratefully received. Neil is so proud and really did not want to ask anyone for any financial help. The reason we went public with something so deeply private was we thought if we told our story and those in charge would see the truth, everything would be okay.
Unfortunately, just as has been the case right from the beginning, this has not worked and we are flabbergasted.
So what we have agreed is that I need to see someone right now and if we raise more money than I need we will make sure the remainder is used to help someone else.
We were further persuaded by 'go fund me' when they called me last night, that just by having this campaign we would reach a wider audience for the cause in general, not just my personal case. They would help by contacting the press and promote the 'story' so we can try to stop this happening to anyone ever again.
Anything you can contribute will mean the world to me

I find it difficult to write nice things about myself, but my friend Liz has put it some much better than I ever could, these are her words....
Help Zoe Get the Life-Saving Treatment She Desperately Needs
Zoe is a woman whose passion for flowers has cultivated more than just a business—it has built a thriving, supportive online community. Through her dedication, she has helped thousands find joy, healing, and purpose in growing their own beautiful blooms. But now, Zoe herself needs urgent help.
In May 2024, Zoe underwent surgery that should have alleviated her chronic pelvic pain. Instead, a devastating complication left her suffering from internal bleeding and worsening health. Despite her tireless efforts to navigate the medical system, she remains in excruciating pain, unable to find the care she so desperately needs.
Time and again, Zoe has been promised help, only for those assurances to dissolve into silence. She has fought tirelessly—following every protocol, making endless calls, and holding on to hope that the next conversation, the next meeting, would finally lead to a resolution. Instead, she has been left without answers, without relief, and without the basic dignity of proper medical attention.
Zoe’s condition is deteriorating rapidly. She is in constant pain, unable to lie down without heavy medication, suffering from severe gastrointestinal issues, and facing alarming weight loss. Despite her resilience, her body is now at breaking point. Without urgent intervention, she and her caring husband Neil, face a tragic future.
Zoe has given so much to others—now, she needs us. We are calling on her community, her friends, and all those who believe in the power of kindness and collective action to help. Every donation, every share, and every show of support will bring her one step closer to the life-saving treatment she urgently requires.
Please, stand with Zoe. Help her find the care she deserves, so she can continue to inspire and uplift others as she always has.
Donate now and be part of Zoe’s fight for life.
For more information I have set up an Instagram page, including a recording of myself and Neil explaining exactly what happened
