My name is Zoe I am a Year 10 student at Hellesdon High School in Norfolk.

I am raising money to help communities, wildlife and rainforest of Ecuador. Any amount will be gratefully received .

To show my dedication I am completing a sponsored run. I plan to run the equivalent distance of the expanse of the Andes that stretches across Ecuador. This amount to 650km from the Colombian border to the border with Peru. I’m aiming to run everyday to accumulate the distance over the next 6 months.

With the help of Camps International I will spend 4 weeks in Ecuador in the Summer 2026 helping the people and environment there.

This is an opportunity of a lifetime and the money raised will allow me to make a difference to lives of local communities and the wildlife in Ecuador. I aim to participate fully to support those who need it and help preserve the increasingly under threat rainforest. The projects I will undertake will help support the UN Sustainable development goals.

I will work as part of a team on community development and biodiversity conservation. This has a massive impact on the surrounding communities in Ecuador. For example past Ecuador project highlights include building octopus houses as part of restoring the reef structure around El Pelado. By going I would be able to help assist with projects like this to protect species from becoming endangered and preserve wildlife in the Amazon rainforest.

Previously with the help of students like me, Camp International have been able to positively impact on the lives of over 120000 people, protect 250000 hectares of wilderness in 7 of the worlds most biodiverse hotspots.
