Zoey's CRPS Journey
Donation protected
Hello, everyone. I am starting a donation page to help my daughter Zoey with medical treatments. Zoey is 15 years old and fighting the most painful disease known to man, Complex Regional pain Syndrome (CRPS). This is a severe chronic pain condition that can occur after an injury. Her pain began two surgeries later. People diagnosed with CRPS have better luck getting into remission if they get the right treatments within one year of being diagnosed. Unfortunately, the treatments offered are considered experimental/investigation and are not covered by insurance.
Zoey Has been Battling CRPS for six months. Zoey has the biggest heart and a drive to do amazing things. And in her words, "self-proclaimed funniest girl in the world". Someone this young with so much life to life doesn't deserve to be in such pain daily. Zoey went from being an active, fun-loving, cheerleader to not even being able to attend a regular school.
Our family has tried everything in our power to get her better.
Acupuncture, neurofeedback, Physical Therapy, and a 3-week pain program at Seattle Children's Hospital, to name a few.
There are several programs in other states: the spiro clinic in Arkansas ($80k) or a Dr. in Florida ($40K). There is also a Treatment in Italy ($60K). But, most doctors have not even heard of CRPS. Most won't treat it; the treatment is long, and there is no cure. Most Patients never reach remission!
We have found a Clinic here in Wa that deals only with neuropathy and chronic pain, restoring nerve damage and tremendously reducing pain. They have a high success rate but are still considered experimental. Zoey starts her first treatment next month, and she is very excited about starting this new treatment. The funds raised will help cover the clinic costs and fingers crossed help her to get better! if this treatment does not work, we will be heading to another state to seek other treatment!
Thank you for reading and Donating to Zoey's Journey; we will keep you updated on her progress. Let's help change my sweet girl's life for the better and put Zoey's CRPS in the past.
