Zones of Progress: Film About the Future of Cities
Donation protected
Help accelerate the creation of Free Cities—self-governing territories where individual rights are upheld—by supporting our new film about Special Economic Zones (SEZs).
The rise of SEZs is a global trend that is changing the way we think about governance. More than 5000 SEZs have been established since 1959 when the first modern zone opened for business, and the number is growing.
Your donation will support the creation of a short film that tells the fascinating story of these zones. It will explain how they have become so numerous and why countries are now granting them even greater autonomy. Drawing on examples from the UAE, Honduras and beyond, the film will shed light on how zone autonomy has helped raise living standards, generate prosperity, and foster thriving communities. It will also make the case that Free Cities are the natural next stage in the evolution of SEZs.
By donating, you will contribute to the creation of a valuable resource that will allow the Free Cities Foundation to raise awareness of the exciting possibilities presented by next-generation SEZs. This will be particularly important to our efforts influencing governments to establish new Free Cities within their territory.
As a token of our gratitude, those who donate $50 or more will have the option of having their name featured in the film's ending credits.
