Katie's Medical Fund

Hello everyone!
As most of you who know, my wife Katie has had several major health issues throughout her life which require large amounts of high cost medication to keep her body healthy and functioning. Recently, Katie's employer changed the insurance provider for the 2nd time in a year. The new insurance provider forces us to use a prescription fulfillment company which does not cover nearly the same amount of the prescription costs and we've seen the monthly costs for her prescrptions increase dramatically. One medication has gone from costing us $175 for a 3 month perscription to $3500 for the same 3 month prescription. We've now exhausted our options in trying to have the insurance company change our medical plan to one that covers more of the prescription costs but they will not let us until her enrollment period in July 2016. We also applied for and were granted prescription assistance from a non-profit group but were told at the last minute that the prescription company that we have to use does not accept payments from third party co-pays.
As you can imagine this has caused quite a lot of stress for poor Katie and the news that the assistance we were awarded could not be used to pay for the prescriptions has been devestating. In a last ditch effort to raise the cash needed to pay for her year of medication before we are able to change her medical plan to one that covers more of the prescription costs I've turned to crowd sourceing for any assistance we can get.
Thanks so much everyone!
