Broken neck and now paralyzed -Patti Milde

³Hey yall. As some of you know, my mom had an accident on the 22nd of December. She was getting into the shower and slipped on the curtain. She fell back and hit her neck on the toilet breaking it. My mom lay yelling for help for almost 30 hours before someone called the police. She was taken to Metro and had emergency surgery. She was intubated and had screws put in her neck. 

My mother can not walk. She can not use her hands, she can't feel her back or legs. She is currently in the ICU trying to stabilize her BP so she can be moved to a floor to start rehabilitation. As of the moment, no one is sure if my mother will regain feeling, past small tingling sensations. We are not sure if she will ever be able to walk again. 

All 5 of us call all day like psychos to talk to her, because my mom can't pick up we hope a nurse is walking by and answers so that we can say hello. 

I was with my mom presurgery and I was allowed to see her for 30 minutes after. I spent that 30 minutes praying and holding her hand.  Unfortunately due to Covid that was the last time anyone will be able to hold her hand until Covid restrictions are lifted. 

We are asking for your help, to help us care for her house, rent, Bill's and everything else that doesn't go away while you're in the hospital and who knows how high the bills will get, but Lord knows we'll need help. 

My mother was a saint of a mom man. Home cooked meals for her family of 7 all days of the week. Taking us to football and soccer and whatever else we were getting into that week. Huge Christmases and birthdays and none of us ever wanted for a thing. We'd just like to give as much help back to her as possible.
