We Need a VILLAGE

I'm telling this story on behalf of many to help MaryLynn and Christina Wild. On 2/28/23, Christina (age 33) was admitted to Hartford Hospital's ICU with blood clots and bleeding in her brain. She is stabilized and hopefully stepping down from ICU soon, but will eventually be transferred to rehab. Thankfully, Christina is alert, oriented and is conversing with friends and family. Unfortunately, she currently has very limited use of the left side of her body.
I've known MaryLynn since middle school and celebrated when she and JC began dating in high school, got married and had Christina and Andrew. As many of you know, JC developed brain cancer and died in 2013 at 51yrs old. He is missed beyond measure. Despite this devastating loss and major health issues that MaryLynn has endured, the family adapted as best they could. MaryLynn and Christina have both dedicated themselves to work as paraprofessionals in the Southington School System; 24 years and 7 years respectively. Christina is also working as a Coordinator of the After School Program for the YMCA in Southington for upwards of a decade, but has no paid time off.
MaryLynn and Christina live modestly in a rented home and split the expenses evenly. MaryLynn has exhausted her paid leave at work, Christina's paid time is dwindling, and expenses are mounting including gas for daily visits. MaryLynn and Christina are both fierce and resilient but their current circumstance is financially unsustainable.
Please consider sharing this post and giving as generously as you can. No amount is too small. I am positive this family has a village in all of us.
