UPDATE JULY 11th: NEW UPDATE ON SYDNEY: Well, I wish I had better news to update everybody with, but Sydney has been diagnosed with Thymoma cancer . This was not expected today as we were finally getting used to the news that she didn’t have cancer, I don’t fully understand because it’s a rare form of cancer and it’s really confusing , so the plan is she’s going to get surgery on 25th of July they’re going to try to go through her ribs and if he’s not confident going through the ribs, he’s going to go through the sternum and we all have to pray that when they get in there, they don’t find anything else and pray that when they did the biopsy, nothing spread from that site. My legs are shaking right now as I’m writing this, we feel blindsided , I’m attaching a little video of Sydney we recorded the zoom meeting or she asked the doctor if she has cancer so he seems pretty positive. I’m gonna try to stay as positive as I can, and just pray that she doesn’t have to do chemo after all of this please keep praying for her it’s working.❤️❤️ I’m gonna take a little break from my phone to gather my thoughts, but I just wanna thank everybody again for the love this for the prayers Sydney is a very lucky girl to have all of you out there praying and caring for her and supporting her . Love Tracy & Jody Sydney ❤️ and Paige ❤️ .......Hi, my name is Selena and i'm fundraising in support of Sydney who is a 14 year old who was recently told she has a 12.7 tumor that is wrapped aroud her heart and pressing on her organs. Sydney was taking to the IWK just 2 days after finding out. Her mom had just started a new job and then this all hit so fast with no time to prepare. Sydney just had 13 biopsys done and will be staying in halifax for a lengh of time to try and figure out her next step. Sydney also has a younger sister at home here in Cape Breton so her parents will have to travel back and forth, while dealing with all of this it will be very difficult and stressful on this family. Anything will help and we can all help to try and take some of this burden of her parents. Thank you!!!!
