E. Penn Ref Joe Duffy's med expense

Donation protected
Monday, June 29th, 2015, started like any other morning for East Penn Rugby referee Joe Duffy until the untamed hand of fate stepped in to alter many lives forever. Joe was on his way to work on Route 73 in NJ. A multi-car accident set off a tragic series of consequences.  Joe received spinal injuries and required surgeries – to this day he remains paralyzed from the waist down.

While no amount of effort will ever change the past, we can only hope to help Joe as he struggles with financial liabilities that will not be covered by his insurance. After two months of hospitalization and rehab, he should be going home soon – a home that needs to be remodeled for wheelchair access. There are also costs for the wheelchair itself, and this is my appeal to open your hearts.

I saw Joe last week, and during conversation I turned to look at him – the tears streaming down his face told the tale of fear that nobody ever wants to hear. Joe is a fighter, and is working hard in his re-hab – please help his work by lessening the outside burdens of this fateful day.  Your donation through this GofundMe site will certainly be appreciated.

Thanks to all in advance - We're with you, Joe!
