Maui family in need!

Aloha, and thank you for visiting our Gofundme! We are creating this fundraiser on behalf of our aunt and cousins, the Sumimoto family. Unfortunately, Tony and his family have lost their home and belongings to the Maui wildfires.

With the little time they had to evacuate, Tony Sumimoto, Amber and their two kids were only able to leave with the clothes on their backs and lost their home and everything inside to the fire. Navie had just had her first day of pre-school and Casen was ready to start Kindergarten. Unfortunately, the year is looking a lot different for them now that they have to rebuild their lives.

Jody, Trevor and Marissa are fortunately safe in their homes but their livelihoods are deeply affected and will be for a long time to come. All of their incomes depend on tourism and Lāhainā being a hub for the people in West Maui.

We are asking for help on their behalf! The fires have swept through and uprooted Tony and his kids and they are still living this nightmare. Lāhainā will always be home to them and we want to give them a chance to restart, find a home for their kids and help rebuild their community.

I can’t think of a more wonderful way to help Maui than to support the Sumimotos. The funds will go directly to them. We humbly ask that you contribute what you can to our ‘ohana in this time of need.
