Tasha Wiese fights Septic Shock and Group A Strep
Donation protected
On Monday March 10th, Tasha suddenly became very ill and was taken to Steinbach hospital where she continued to rapidly decline. She was urgently transferred via STARS from Steinbach to HSC Winnipeg and taken directly to the medical intensive care unit where they began extensive measures to save Tasha's life. Tasha has remained in critical condition due to severe pneumonia, Invasive Group A Strep, and Septic Shock. Tasha was put on dialysis to help her kidneys, many interventions to help her fight the infections, and has been unconscious since she was admitted to hospital. In the initial 48 hours of Tasha's admittance into the hospital she was deemed by doctors the sickest patient in the province.
The doctors have made it clear that Tasha will have a very long road to recovery with permanent life altering damage that will require many specialized medical appointments, surgeries, and full time care for an extended period of time. At this stage it is impossible to estimate the full cost of medical care that Tasha will need but unfortunately, it will be very extensive.
Tasha has lived in Steinbach her entire life and has been involved in the community for many years through volunteer work with the Steinbach Pistons, events throughout the area, and as many will know, never missing an opportunity to help someone in need.
We are reaching out on behalf of Brendan, Tasha, and Tasha's family, asking for your help, giving us all an opportunity to be there for Tasha. Any support whether through kind words, prayers, or financial contributions to help as the family navigates this difficult time would be deeply appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and kindness. With your donations we can help Tasha heal, and support Brendan as he remains close to Tasha to provide her with the emotional and physical support she needs. Please continue to keep her in your prayers.
