Mission Trip to Lima Peru

My name is Kristina Butler, and I am a junior in college. My major is nursing, and I have always felt called by God to do some kind of missions work in the medical field. I believe that God created us in His image, and that because of that, we are to love and take care of His creation. I believe we are to show love to people who need it and share the gospel in all the earth. I have gone on two mission trips to the Dominican Republic, and I saw God work there in amazing ways! Matthew 28:19-20 says, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you to the very end of the age.” This is the mission for all Christians, but I believe that God has called me to missions in my life.

I have an opportunity to go to Lima, Peru, which is struck by poverty and poor medical care. We will be doing basic medical care and working with the local hospital to help better people’s lives. Matthew 25:40 says, “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’” God calls us, and me as a nurse, to take care of His creation. I feel called to help in this cause. I feel called to carry the gospel and share His love through this trip. However, this trip is only possible with your help!
