Josefina Marie Endsley, also known as “Josie”, 40, passed away suddenly on Friday, February 24, 2023 as a result of injuries sustained in a tragic accident.
Josie, born in Erie, Pennsylvania lived out her childhood in Auburn, Indiana then moved to Georgia at the age of 13. She was an accomplished chef, and artisan of making pastries. She was a strong and passionate leader for many local restaurants including: Soho, Local, Atlantic and many more. Throughout her time here she impacted many lives through her understanding, love, and graciousness for others. Josie particularly empathized and cared for the least fortunate. This includes furry, finned, and feathered friends. Josie had a special place in her heart for all living things. She had an affinity for the scenic world around her and enjoyed the spontaneity and beauty of road-trips across states to waterfalls, springs, beaches, and caves. Josie had an unbelievable passion for music, which orchestrated her many adventures and was a constant backdrop to her engagement with others.
Survivor’s include her children, Lillian Endsley, Kaitlyn Endsley, David Williams, Evan Williams, and Elise Williams; Grandchildren, Myla Endsley, Eli Endsley, Remi Endsley; Mother and Step-Father, Rita and Kenny Kirkland; Father, Amador Gonzalez; Aunt, Martina Barrett; Brother, Angel Endsley Gonzalez; Nephew; Alexander Woods; Close Friend, John Cummings; and Partner, Ryan Mcdade.
The visitation will be on Friday, March 3rd, 2023 from 5pm to 6pm, at the funeral home. The memorial service to honor Josie’s life will follow at 6pm in the Chapel of the funeral home.
