Knee replacement surgery

Hi, my names Michelle, I was very reluctant to do this, I have never claimed a penny in my life or asked for help in any way and I feel there are soo many more deserving. However, after suffering for over a year now, my mental health has now started to deteriorate also, and I feel there is no other choice so here I am trying to raise funds for knee replacement surgery in both knees. The nhs are in such a bad way at the moment, with everything being pushed back & delayed.

I have stage 4 arthritis in both knees and have been told by my Dr & physiotherapist that I need replacement in both knees. So imagine how shocked I was to hear from my specialist that at 50years old I am too young to have surgery as I will need to wait 15 years or so. I feel I need this now! My quality of life is not good, I’d rather be able to live now and if I must be in a wheelchair at 65 rather than have to do this now!

So in the meantime, I am left using two crutches and can not stand/walk for more than 5mins, meaning I can’t walk the dog, go shopping/gym any of my usual activities are not existent, I also struggle with normal day to day tasks without help and am in constant pain.

I just want to be able to walk again and live my life to the full.
