Help India Fight Covid-19 Crisis

My name is Sneh Duggal, I am a 15-year-old sophomore (10th grade) in Bothell, Washington and I am requesting all of you to come together and join hands with me to support India’s fight against Covid-19 and help humanity win.
The second wave of Covid-19 has brought a very high account of total cases and deaths, as well as, a very high surge in black-fungus infections. India is currently leading the world on count of daily new cases and daily deaths due to Covid-19. Health care infrastructure there is under tremendous pressure and people are dying daily while waiting for treatment and oxygen to breathe. There are heartbreaking stories emerging daily about families losing their only bread winner, children getting orphaned, young and adults dying and hopes getting shattered due to huge shortage of some amenities essential for life survival like oxygen, medicines, and food. With both of my parents from India and all my extended family still there, I have deep connections with India and see it as my 2nd home and right now my this (India) home needs help to bring relief to people suffering there. Covid-19 and Black- Fungus are threats to human life globally and we all are together in this fight against these deadly infections and together we will end this pandemic. If you are in position to give, this is your opportunity to show your support and help India fight against Covid-19.
Therefore, I have joined with Indiaspora, a non-profit community of global Indian diaspora leaders, to raise Covid-19 relief funds for India. Indiaspora has been a leader in raising awareness, helping the needy and ensuring that funds are delivered immediately as any long delay means it is too late for providing help. Indiaspora will match up to $5,000 USD of the amount I raise, and all these funds will be provided to the following organizations.
1. WISH Foundation for Covid-19 care centers or makeshift hospitals.
2. GiveIndia which sends a direct cash transfer to the family of the deceased.
3. Goonj and Jan Sahas for food relief and livelihood assistance.
I, myself, am putting $250 of my own by cutting down on my pocket money for next few months and my parents are matching up to $1000 of what I raise. Not asking you a large sum; even skipping a trip to Starbucks for coffee or skipping a burger meal for a day would help make impact on people suffering in India.
Would urge not only adults but youth as well to come together and support this cause during this crucial time of pandemic to save lives and help India Fight Back against Covid-19 and Black-Fungus.
