Juan Sanchez family

On behalf of the Juan Sanchez family, we are setting up the go fund me to help support their family during this difficult time. While keeping their privacy in mind we want to share what we can but not overshare.

Starting the week of December 4th, Juan became ill. What he thought was the flu or Covid turned out to be a life threatening situation and he was diagnosed with necrotizing fasciitis, which is a very rare bacterial infection that spreads quickly and if not caught soon enough can cause death. Juan was rushed into surgery Sunday December 10th to help get the infection under control and has been on strong antibiotics and steroids. He had another surgery Monday December 11th, Wednesday December 13th and Thursday December 14th to clean out infection that is still spreading. He isn’t out of the woods yet. Once the infection is under control and stops spreading he will have to have reconstructive surgery in the coming weeks/months. Once he is able to leave the hospital he will need to stay at a step down facility until his wounds are completely healed, approximately 4-6 weeks(depending on the healing process). Anyone that knows Juan knows he is a worker and he would do what he could to help those around him. During this time we are trying to alleviate a little stress and help the family out financially. All money will go directly to the family to help with bills since he will be out of work for a while, medical bills as they will start rolling in and any other medical needs he may have in the future.
