Purple Heart Recipients Dream
Donation protected
Good evening,
I want to thank everyone that has helped with my Dream by donating or sharing. It has been humbling and I am so grateful for the outpouring of love and support. We all have hopes and dreams in our lives and to be supported in them helps us to achieve them. On the flip side, I’ve learned the hard way that sometimes, life doesn’t always go the way we plan and our dreams can get derailed.
It doesn’t mean that you failed, it just means it wasn’t meant to be or maybe the timing was off.
After I was injured I felt hopeless and useless because I couldn't serve in the military anymore. I felt like a burden to my family, I had PTSD and survivors guilt. I used mental toughness and comedy to get through the hard times. I also learned by sharing my story and the tools I used to get through those bad days and still today, that I can help others get through their bad day.
I learned that I can inspire others by living my life to the fullest by continuing to chase my dreams. I know I could do these things alone but I feel God’s path for me is to help others on their journey and to overcome adversity. I have met some incredible people in my life for a reason. Everyone has had an impact on some level, and some I help, and then there are others, like you, that help me. I say all this to let you all know I’ve had a shift in my life and in my heart. It has been heavy on my heart to shift my focus on the path that I have been living and where I feel I have the MOST impact on helping others and supporting fellow veterans in growing their dreams.
It’s been over two years that I’ve been working on securing the funds and location to open a Biggie’s Burgers here in San Antonio, TX. It seems there have been obstacles and challenges and the process has not been smooth. I have tried numerous times to get investors and private donations to get the business started. With your help, I successfully raised 1/3 of the investment that I needed but still lacked the remaining 2/3 to open and make it a viable business and have enough capital to successfully run it the first few years as it got off the ground. It feels as if the timing is off.
This is just not the right time for this endeavor and I believe with my mind, heart and gut at this time I need to focus on Bravo748 Military and Combat Speakers Consortium where I have been having the most impact in being of service and helping my fellow veterans.
What is Bravo748? It is a company that I co-founded many months ago with Jamie Burton. Jamie's son Brian, served in the KY National Guard and Operation Enduring Freedom. Due to a tragedy that ended with his death after returning home in 2003, Jamie made a promise she would keep Brian's memory alive by helping other veterans like myself, that want to continue to serve and share their stories for healing. Veterans that truly want to help others by sharing experiences, life lessons and how they overcame their obstacles. You can read more of her story here.
These are fellow Veterans, from all branches, ranks and eras, that I’ve met over the last 10 years during my journey. Like me, they continue to give back and Bravo748 is a platform where they can get their message out into the world to help others, as well as continue their own healing. In the military, we are used to community, being a part of a team and having a mission. Bravo748 has given many of them a sense of connection and community that didn’t exist for them before.
Being a part of Bravo748 is an opportunity for the Veterans, Gold Star Families, and Veteran Caregivers to build a future for their families in their new endeavors as motivational speakers, trainers, comedians, artists, musicians, skydivers, emcees, military and business consultants, and weapons subject matter experts. Bravo748 is a family of veterans and, more importantly, a team, that wants to help change the world to be a better place for all. Our consortium of speakers and presenters cover a variety of topics including: Military Life, Motivation, Transition, Resilience, Safety, Leadership, PTSD, TBI, Military Sexual Trauma, Comedy, Music, Weapons, Business, and so much more.
I have decided to focus my energy on what is working in my life and how I am helping best change the world to inspire and bring hope to others. I am hoping you all can understand and will get behind me on my decision to put Biggie’s on the back burner and work on building my current business Bravo748.
I would like to make a request to all of you kind and generous supporters. It would be my desire to use the funds that you generously gave to my dream, to put the money toward building Bravo748 to help market and promote my fellow veterans and getting their stories out into the world.
It is my belief that this is my higher purpose and divinely driven by God, my Angels and my passion to help others.
Your donations here will help so many more Veterans under Bravo748 and also help the world hearing the incredible messages of resilience, overcoming adversity, challenging yourself to be the best you can be, hope, inspiration and healing.
Please check out our website Bravo748.com and if you like what we are doing, please share with your friends, colleagues, or organizations looking to support Veterans and wanting an incredible speaker for their next event. I am in so much gratitude for all of your kindness and blessings during this process. I wanted to give an update and if anyone here is not supportive of changing the resources and allocation of the funds, please message me and I will be humbled to return your donation directly to you.
I am closing this GoFundMe account down March 1, 2017, as I don’t want to request an additional funds.
I want to be fair and honest to all of you for being so kind and to let you know where my path is leading me at this time. Again thank you all so much.
For updates and to see what’s happening, you are invited to follow Bravo748 on Twitter (Bravo748Speaker), FB (Bravo748), and Instagram (Bravo748). I sincerely hope to meet each and every one of you someday during my travels and encourage you to let me know that you helped in making my purposefully driven dreams to come true.
Sincerely and Respectfully,
Bobby Henline
By accomplishing this, I can set the expample to other Veterans dealing with PTSD or other ailments, amputees and burn victims, that you can overcome, persevere and prevail. In the military, it is always Lead by Example, so I am stepping up to be the example so others can follow and believe it can be done.
A big part of who I am is about giving back. I live to support others, now I am asking for support in my dream. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for believing in me and helping me attain my dream and lead the pathway for others.
