Nichols Family

Many people have asked how can they help support the Nichols family financially. Therefore her friends have rallied together to create this page as an outlet for public prayers and support to be declared. Below is Presley’s story.

“A week ago, Presley Mae came down with a high fever. Something in me knew it just wasn’t quite right. A couple days later, I took her to her pediatrician. I could see that her pediatrician was also puzzled. She did some bloodwork and sent a urine and stool sample kit home with me. That same day...I rushed the urine sample back to the dr. because I just knew she had a UTI. It turns out...she did. Which was a HUGE relief for me.

Thursday, I received a phone call from Presley’s doctor and she let me know she got Presley’s labs back...that they were concerning and that I needed to get Pres to Children’s hospital immediately.

Once we got checked in...they did more bloodwork to be sure it matched the labs from 2 days prior. And it did. But her labs still weren’t super clear as to what was causing her body to react the way it was.

Yesterday morning, she had a bone marrow biopsy done so the doctor could get more clear answers. And yesterday afternoon, the doctor came into our room with answers I was afraid of.

Our sweet and sassy Pres has been diagnosed with leukemia. I cannot express the sadness that Brandon and I feel amongst so many other feelings. But I want to be clear about something. We serve a BIG God. And we KNOW that. We KNOW He is with us. Always. We are going to fight this battle with a lot of prayer and surrender and faith in our Lord.

Brandon is going to finish school as he only has 5 weeks before graduation. Then he will be back home with us.

Presley begins chemotherapy on Monday. They will do aggressive chemo for the next 4 weeks. Then they will do a second bone marrow biopsy and compare it to yesterday’s. The hope is that the cancer will be gone or very close to being gone. That will let us know what the treatment will look like for the next 2.5 years or so. We are going to need EVERY prayer warrior out there. Please intercede with us for our little girl. The doctor has very high hopes that Presley will come out of this a healthy little girl. However, we already know that!

Thank you for all of your prayers and support. Brandon and I know we are blessed with the best.”
