Chapman Family Housing Fund

We are the Chapmans, my husband has been entertaining tourists and residents for many years during his evening ride on a 3 wheel bike with bright lights and fun music.  He lives each day for his ride working to make the show more interesting for everyone and putting SMILES on the faces of all who see him.  This  is his favorite thing to do since he retired from construction many years ago. He is now 76 years old.  He would have loved to continue to do this until his  final days but we are left with no alternative at this time but to leave Key West.
     Our family has lived in Key West, Florida for 5 generations. We were forced to move with our family of 6 from our  homestead on the corner of Petronia and Chapman Lane in Bahama Village, Key West, Florida, last year.  We have found no other long term alternative but to pull up stakes in Key West and move to a place where the housing costs for both ownership and rentals are much more affordable. 
     We recieved funds from a Go Fund Me controled account for housing, when we were left on the street with nothing.  It hardly lasted 1 year between the money spent on housing while trying to find a place and the rent of  $1,600 per month once we finally did.  It was a trailer on Stock Island and was the cheapest housing we could find at the time, to keep our straight A grandson in his school.
    We lost our house because Mr. Chapman  was at the mercy of an unscrupulous opportunist  who preyed on him.  A man who described papers he had, to be a business opportunity with no mention of taking possession or encumbering the house.  A very carismatic swindler, who also preyed on others in Bahama Village.
    We have been the people who have taken in needy children when the parents of those children turned to drugs.  Our family includes our 2 grandchildren and special needs nefew, who have always lived with us.
       My husband, Mr Chapman, and I sincerely appreciate your interest in being helpful to our effort to raise money for a fresh start, after the trauma of losing our home and possesions last year.
Our Goal is $20,000 which will include traveling  and relocation expenses. The Funds will include a downpayment on a trailer of our own so we will not have to move again. My husbands health has not been the best this past year as a result of trying to adjust to his new life.
