Austin Dickson Memorial service/Funeral Costs

As many of you know,  Austin was diagnosed with congenital heart disease last year when he was admitted into the hospital with an infection, and he had to undergo open heart bypass surgery. About 8 months later, his heart began to fail again. He was admitted to the hospital last week where they told him he was not eligible for another surgery, and there was unfortunately nothing they could do for him. As much as he fought and never gave up, his body had finally just had too much, and we were told that his heart was extremely damaged and weak, and the infection was causing his other organs to fail. He was surrounded by his immediate family and several friends in the preceding days so we could say our goodbyes and make sure he knew how loved he was in those final moments. Tuesday morning, 3/3/20, he was taken from this world with his loved ones by his side. All money raised will be used to help alleviate the costs associated with transportation to bring him home from Portland, his cremation and memorial service, as well as a celebration of life, so that all those who loved and cared for him can join us in saying goodbye, sharing memories, and celebrating the impact he made on all of our lives, but most importantly, our hearts.
