Standing Strong

My husband, Nathan was injured in a freak accident almost 5 years ago when a tornado threw an oak tree on his car while he was driving. As a result, he was left paralyzed from the waist down. Can you even imagine that; being 25 years old and all of a sudden you can no longer move your legs? His spirits and faith in God are unprecedented and he is the strongest man I know. 2 years (and hundreds of hours of physical therapy) later, he was able to walk around 400 ft. One day while at home, he fell trying to get to his wheelchair. That short fall AGAIN robbed him of his ability to walk. It’s been 3 years since his fall and he is still unable to walk unassisted.

I’m asking for your help – to help him – by purchasing an assisted standing device. Seeing him “stand” in this device is a game changer for him (and me) mentally and physically. Simply seeing him stand upright is a beautiful blessing and something we wish to have every day. We have a beautiful 3 year old daughter named Madison, she’s only ever known Nathan in a wheelchair. We want her to see him walk one day and would do anything to make that happen. He has shared his journey to recovery online and below are some photos. He will never stop trying to regain his ability to walk and I will be by his side every (baby) step of the way.
