This GoFundMe has been organized on behalf of Rizal's father, Zubir Putih, for those who would like to contribute to the various funeral and memorial service costs related to his recent passing. For those who don't know me, the organizer, he was considered family to myself, my brother, and my parents. My family has known him since he was 12 and he regularly attended family holidays, like Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, graduations, etc. We especially got close as our friend group reached adulthood.
His father has disclosed that he would like a burial for his son. For those of you who have had the unfortunate experience of arranging a loved one's affairs, you know that this is not an inexpensive option.
Originally, Zubir was going to take on these costs on his own. But since many people reached out and expressed a desire to contribute - he agreed to allow us (Rizal's closest friends) to start this GoFundMe. I know several people want the opportunity for closure and to pay their respects this way.
We are still working on the funeral arrangements and will let everyone know when everything is finalized. We are overwhelmed by the amount of love and support that have come our collective way and are grateful for your donations.
Obituaries have been posted on the McDermott-Crockett & Associates website as well as the SB Indepent, Noozhawk, and SB Dons Alumni News.
The following is a letter from Zubir to his son.

This is from Papa
Rizal, Why? What Happened!!
I am broken to pieces right now and refuse to accept it.
When you told me that you wanted to move to LA, I absolutely disapproved.
But I didn’t want to obstruct your path to success.
You had just stepped onto the ladder that you thought would take you to the top.
You were so happy about it, your friends were happy for you, we were all happy about it.
We all saw the bright light shine upon you.
You are my only son and you are the jewel of the family - and you were aware of that.
You thought I was over protective.
I pushed you for one reason - to be independent in all aspects, because I can’t look after you forever.
Your birthday was just 3 days before you passed
And the day you passed was mine, I guess this was my last one.
Now that you are gone, our family will also be gone.
I don’t know how far I am going to drag this sorrow.
I loved you very very much Rizal, you Rest In Peace you hear?!
I look forward to seeing you in my dreams.
Papa.
